Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) fiber is the most widely using for making false eyelashes
The characteristics of this fiber make it perfect for manufacturing highly quality of most comfortable false eyelashes. Freedom of motion and total comfort are the features users appreciate most since they want to feel protected but not constricted. With this fiber it is possible to produce False Eyelashes capable of maintaining a comfortable microclimate around the eyes. The fiber is elastic, soft and resistant and takes dye well, even when blended with other.
PBT is resistant to solvents, shrinks very little during forming, is mechanically strong, heat-resistant up to 150 °C. The 3D silk band false eyelashes are heated at around 150 °C to form the curve. Thanks to these characteristic PBT fiber, false eyelashes can keep them shapes / curve forever as long as not exposed under heat over 60 °C.
Polyvinyl chloride fiber is another option to make false eyelash, thanks to the development of nanotechnology has grown tremendously in recent years and has produced many applications in various fields. One of the most interesting developments in nanotechnology, due to its vast applications, is nanofiber. Nanofiber is a one-dimensional material whose form is like fine threads with a diameter of one to several hundred nanometers. Nanofiber is proven to possess many advantages such as having a large ratio of surface area over volume, high flexibility, tensile strength, and porosity.
It can be made softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers, the most widely used being phthalates.
Most vinyl products contain plasticizers which are used to make the material softer and more flexible, and lower the glass transition temperature. Plasticizers work by increasing the space and act as a lubricant between the PVC polymer chains. Higher levels of plasticizer result in softer PVC compounds and decrease tensile strength.
